I am Professor of Music at Washington University, St Louis. Most of my work has been devoted to Berlioz, having edited the series the New Berlioz Edition, completed in 2006 and contributed to many books on Berlioz. I have also edited operas by Lalo, Thomas, and Chabrier. My book Beethoven's Century was published in 2008.
